So, I'm still having trouble overcoming the notion that there's not much reason for me personally to blog. There are already billions of blogs out there (recent studies have suggested there are as many as 36 blogs per person on the planet, and that by 2051 the entire eastern seaboard will be populated solely by blogs), so I'm not exactly sure why you're reading mine. Unless of course you are my mother, which I already covered in my first post.
But perhaps it's normal for a new blogger to feel overwhelmed by the vast quantity of faster, newer, shinier blogs out there. Except not newer, because compared to newer bloggers, I'm more experienced, so there.
I do have hope that there might be truth to the idea that the pen is mightier than the sword. Because, if you think about it, a pen is just small and pointy; a rather short-range affair, really. A keyboard, on the other hand, has good heft for bashing, and greater reach if you swing it by its cord, AND makes a pleasant clacking sound on impact. So who knows what heights a blog may yet reach.
